Mary N. McCann, a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a current resident of Chester County, received her Bachelor of Arts degree from LaSalle University in 1979 and her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Widener University School of Law in 1992. While in law school Ms. McCann was a Moot Court Board member and member of Phi Alpha Phi, a scholastic fraternity. Ms. McCann was admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in 1992 and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Ms. McCann is a member of the Philadelphia and Chester County Bar Associations.
Since 1992, Ms. McCann has acquired extensive experience in defense litigation concentrating primarily in the defense of workers’ compensation and general liability claims. In the area of workers’ compensation, Ms. McCann has represented numerous self-insured entities, including hospitals and nursing home facilities. Ms. McCann practices exclusively in the area of workers’ compensation. She has been a member, shareholder and partner of large, small and medium size law firms. She finds the present one just right.
Prior to attending law school Ms. McCann worked in retail management and the administrative side of political fundraising. She was married over 43 years when her husband passed in 2023.
